  • What is reverse cycle?

Reverse cycle air conditioning units offer both heating and cooling capabilities. It’s two systems in one—an air conditioning and a heater. Unlike conventional heaters, reverse cycle units are much cheaper to run.

  • How often should I have my air conditioning unit serviced?

We recommend servicing all heating and air conditioning equipment at least once a year, especially if it has been left unused for a long period of time.

  • Do I need a professional to install my air con?

While there’s no explicit legal requirement to hire a professional to install an AC unit, it’s highly recommended.

In Australia, all businesses or individuals who want to install refrigeration systems have to be officially licensed technicians holding a Refrigerant Handling License of the Australian Refrigeration Council. With this, technicians are held to a very high standard for all installations. Everything must be done according to specific legal codes, safety practices and quality standards.

  • I don’t use my air conditioning much. Do I still need to service it?

Yes. Much like with a vehicle, air conditioning warranties require you to service the unit regularly. If you want your warranty to stay valid, service your AC regularly even if you don’t use it often.

If you don’t have a valid warranty anymore, you should still service the system at least once per year.

  • How do I know which air conditioning system I need?

Air conditioning units should be rated to handle your building size, normal occupancy and temperature requirements. Units that are too small will be overworked and wear out quickly, while units that are too large tend to be underutilized and to develop damage as they sit unused too often. When you contact us about purchasing and installing a unit, we can send someone to your location to help decide which system works best.

  • Do you organise power supply?

Yes. We can refer you to trusted local electricians who can help with the electrical side of things.
